MacKayla and Alex at Prescott Park, NH

Engaged couple playing around in Prescott park

MacKayla and Alex chose Prescott Park for their engagement session. While the flower beds were pretty empty this late in the season we still managed to find lots of areas to explore. Their fun-loving personality really added a lot to the session and made it very easy to get lots of different expressions throughout. One thing that I often bring up when describing my way of “Posing” is that I make it my goal to keep things as natural and real as possible. I typically give suggestions or prompts and see where the couple takes it. From there, I can step in and offer small bits of direction to bring about more variety and emotion while still keeping things truthful to the couple. This session happened without the slightest bit of hesitation. From the moment we met up things just progressed in such an organic way and I think the images are telling of this. Nothing looks forced or rigid, they are totally in their zone with each other which is how it should be. While a goal of these sessions may be to create some beautiful images it should also be to enjoy and celebrate the moment with your number one person in the whole world. When things come together just right both of these goals are achieved.
