The Barn at Bull Meadow - Concord, NH
I was lucky enough to visit The Barn at Bull Meadow last weekend and wanted to share a few of the qualities that might just make it a top choice for your special day! During my time there I talked with Taylor Hume, the weddings manager, and she was super helpful in giving me a background of the property and answering questions I thought would be helpful to prospective couples during the planning process. A little side note - it was raining like crazy the day I was there so the images I’m posting reflect this. Still, even on a ridiculously rainy day it is easy to see the beauty held within this amazing barn venue located in Concord, New Hampshire.
To begin my talk, I should mention that being a storyteller myself, I am always a sucker for hearing the background of the people and places I come across. When it comes to The Barn at Bull Meadow, the story begins and ends with servicing their couples in the best way possible (this is my kind of place). The venue itself is quite new, having been purposely built for weddings and other large gatherings only a few short years ago. The owners of the property, Justin, Jennifer and Eric Stevens, set out to create a space that was not only grand but also provided the smaller details that can sometimes be overlooked and cause stress to a couple as their day nears.
The 3,600 square foot barn (actually 7,000 sq ft. including the second floor) can hold 180 guests comfortably as they take in the flowers and tailored landscaping through the enormous barn doors. The venue hosts celebrations year round and offers three separate suites couples can choose from to get all snazzy in their wedding attire. One detail that stood out to me is the nicely sized dance floor located right in the middle of the barn. I have photographed a lot of weddings where the dance floor is located to the front of the reception space which tends to leave the guests in the back with a reason to not fully immerse themselves in the magic of the night. With the setup at Bull Meadow, no one has an excuse to not join the party! I was also excited to hear that photography with the couple can take place anywhere on the grounds which is something I wish would become the norm at all venues. And last, but certainly not least, the first floor is fully ADA compliant which makes it very easy for those who can sometimes have difficulty getting around.
Now, for some of those smaller details I mentioned earlier. I have said it many times, there are so many moving parts when it comes to planning a wedding. It can be a really stressful time and The Barn at Bull Meadow knows this and does whatever they can to make your day run as smoothly as possible. To start off, they really don’t have hidden costs like some venues do. Your wedding will include the use of up to twenty tables and 180 chairs for your guests. Linens for those tables, including over a dozen choices of napkins, are included. And not to be forgotten, a day-of-coordinator to ensure every part of your day is as close to how you imagined as humanly possible. These are great benefits to couples who may be concerned about something slipping through the cracks of their planning. It all comes together to show just how invested the owners are at bringing dream weddings to life.
In closing, I was truly impressed by how friendly and inviting the space was. Though I have not photographed a wedding there yet, I am extremely excited to get the chance (hint, hint, wink, wink).
