Kristyna and John at the Squam Lake Inn

Kristina and John had a very close-knit wedding at the Squam Lake Inn in Holderness, New Hampshire. With a dozen guests in attendance, the mood was intimate and genuine as they stepped into this new chapter surrounded by their closest of close. The inn was a nice choice based on their numbers and provided all the space needed to enjoy nature and celebrate their union.

One of my favorite parts of weddings has always been the ceremony. I love when couples put their own spin on things and make it their own. In this case, the bride’s father officiated the ceremony and he made it very lighthearted like you’d expect from a parent. From childhood stories to interesting takes on family dynamics, his speech kept everyone’s attention from beginning to end. I later found out that he works alongside the groom on a daily basis so it made sense how everyone seemed so connected with everyone else.

The day finished with a relaxing dinner for the couple and their guests. Everyone talked and shared moments that stood out the most for them. I remember thinking to myself how the day was truly tailored to the wants of the couple. While some level of “tailoring” always happens to the day’s schedule, this day seemed designed entirely for them. From the small guest list that made everyone seem like family (because they were) to the leisurely attitude during the reception they weren’t following any guidelines but their own. The day turned out to be everything they wanted and you can’t ask for more than that. It was amazing to play a role in their celebration.
