Meg and Pete at Artist’s Bluff, Franconia Notch

Engaged Couple atop a snowy mountain

“It’s looking like we’re going to have clear skies,” this text came across my phone a few hours before the session. I was so excited to photograph Meg and Pete at Artist’s Bluff in Franconia Notch State Park. I had never been to this particular trail before and they both seemed very outdoorsy and open to braving the elements. This was a good thing because the clear skies quickly turned to flurries which then turned to heavy snow during the session. I couldn’t have asked for better subjects as they had no issues with the cold or with changing up their looks for the sake of variety.

We captured some really quiet moments during our time together and I feel like the images represented their relationship in a truthful way which is always my end goal. The weather, to me, ended up making the experience that much more real and lasting. And while it did pose some obstacles at times I would happily do it all over again for the chance of creating results like these. Thanks for sharing your day with me.
